Juvederm®
What is Juvederm®?
Juvéderm® is a family of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers that are FDA approved to correct wrinkles on the face associated with aging and volume loss. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body that attracts water. The Juvéderm® collection of fillers utilizes hyaluronic acid in different gel formulations that are specific to the area being treated. Juvéderm® is placed mid to deep in the skin to help lift those lines, and provide the structure and support that reflects a more youthful looking appearance. Juvéderm® helps correct static wrinkles, those wrinkles that are present when your face is in a resting position.

Juvéderm® XC
Designed to treat wrinkles and folds that have developed around the mouth and stretch up towards the nose. As a smooth gel filler, it subtly corrects these lines sometimes referred to as “parentheses.” Results can last up to 1 year!
Juvéderm® Voluma®
Another modified hyaluronic acid, but this one is designed to focus on cheeks that have flattened over the years, leading to drooping and sagging skin. This FDA-approved injectable gel provides a lift by filling out the flattened area. Results can last up to two years!
Juvéderm® Volbella®
A great option for those wanting to smooth the lines around the mouth, or create a soft plumping of the lips. Results can last up to one year!
Frequently Asked Questions
Will people be able to tell I had something done?
Only if you want them to. One of the great things about fillers is that you can place as much or as little as you want in order to achieve the look you are desiring. Properly placed fillers can achieve a natural, subtle enhancement to your appearance without having an overdone look.
How long do the results last?
Results are dependent upon the area being treated and the type of Juvéderm® being used. Most patients can expect results to last upwards of 1 year, with the Juvéderm® Voluma® can last up to 2 years!
Does it hurt?
Some minor discomfort can be expected during treatment. This is aided by the application of a topical numbing medication prior to treatment. The Juvéderm® is also formulated with lidocaine to help provide numbing during the treatment process.
